Kou Shibasaki(柴咲コウ) to provide a beautiful ballad for the drama starring Miori Takimoto(瀧本美織)

Kou Shibasaki(柴咲コウ)'s new song "My Perfect Blue" has been appointed to be the theme song for a live action adaptation of Miyuki Miyabe(宮部みゆ)'s mystery novel starring the talented Miori Takimoto(瀧本美織). The drama titled "My Perfect Blue(パーフェクト・ブルー)"will begin broadcast on TBS starting on October 8th, 2012.



"My Perfect Blue"is a ballad produced by Androp'sUchisawa Takahito(内澤崇仁). Kou wrote the lyrics for the song. When she heard the name of the drama, she had thisimagery of when the blue sky turns from dawn till dusk.She wants the lyrics toexpress thisquiet beautiful moment and alsomatch the themeof the drama.Hence, the reason why she named the song "My Perfect Blue" as well. She hopes people who listens to this song can cherish those quiet moments in their busy lives.



This single will be released on October 31st as a double A-side single. The second song "ゆくゆくは(Yukuyuku Wa)" is a collaboration between singer-songwriterTamio Okuda(奥田民生) and Kou. The song has been on air as the CM song for the brandASIENCEKao(花王).
